Onto the Fiddly Bits.
Penny and I moved onto stripping some of the more fiddly areas of the car today. With the rear quarter windows removed a while ago, that area, along with the panel that the door latch is mounted and under the aluminium DATSUN scuff panel was attended to.
Luckily, these areas didn’t have that much paint and were stripped bare in only three applications of stripper. Even more luckily, there was only a bit of surface rust with holes kept to a minimum and very small at that!
We didn’t go all the way around to the panel with the door hinges, as I want to remove the dash before putting any stripper along there. I don’t want to damage the dash any more than it already is. I think I might remove the dash next so that it is out of the way. That should be a fun job, considering all of the wires that are hang out under it.
